Got a call this morning at 7.50am from an automated voice claiming to be from Amazon. Oddly, they somehow got hold of my ex-directory landline, which is on the TPS list. The message started with "Hello, this is Daniel from Amazon customer service," then went on to say something about my account. I found it really fishy because Amazon never ring through automated messages like that, especially not so early! It sounded like they wanted to scare me into giving up personal info by telling me I’d be charged a big sum. Definitely a scam trying to trick me into handing over my details.

Had some dodgy activity showing on my Amazon account, about £700 taken. I’m sure they didn’t even have my proper details. Absolute scam, total ripoff! Reported it and blocked the number straight away.

Got 4 calls from this number today. Picked up the last one and some guy with an accent was telling me there was an issue with my account. I just ended the call right away.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he worked for eBay and needed to confirm a big order. Sounded dodgy since he was from some Indian call centre and didn’t even know my name. I told him it was obviously a scam and hung up straight away.

Got a call from some Indian call centre, this Asian guy claiming he worked for eBay and was checking on a big purchase I supposedly made. I told him it was a scam right away and hung up, plus he didn’t even know my name or anything about me. Proper dodgy!
