Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, warning me my internet was about to stop working soon. When I asked her who my actual internet provider was, since it wasn’t BT, she just ended the call. Seems like a dodgy scam to me!

Someone rang claiming to be from BT, said my internet was about to drop out in the next hour or so. Then they started guiding me to press Windows+R and find some details about the issue. I told them, in words my mum would definitely frown upon, that I’m a software engineer and they were talking nonsense. After that, they just hung up on me.
