Said they were from UBenefit and sounded quite courteous, but there’s no way they’re actually Welsh! Their site says you can opt out by sending an email, which just hands them your email address, or by calling a recorded number. When you call, it prompts for your full name and phone number, but the message just loops back before you can say anything, so it feels like they’re fishing for more info. The initial call just asked if the owner of the number was there. I’ve lost count of how many times they’ve rung me this past week - at least ten!

I got a call from what they said was B.T’s tech support. There was a recorded voice telling me I’d be cut off soon and to press 1 if I wanted to know more. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from some dodgy tech support, sounded like "Metal Micky" or something - didn't catch the full name, but I reckon they pretended to be from BT. I picked up this time and a recorded message started saying my IP was at risk and that BT were calling. I knew it wasn’t really BT, so I took it as a scam and checked this site to be sure.

I've received numerous calls from some automated voice, insisting that there’s been a breach on my BT internet service and that my connection is on the verge of being disconnected unless I get in touch with them right away. The catch? I don’t even have BT set up! Quite the amusing situation, really.
