someone said they were from vodafone selling cheap internet. i said i was interested. then they tried ringing me back about 4 hours later.

They claimed to be from Vodafone and said they were located in Hull but their call went through a Basildon exchange. They were trying to sell broadband for £7 a month but when I checked with Vodafone, they had no clue about this deal and never had broadband priced that low.
