Received a call purporting to be from Windows customer service, asking me to verify my information. I ended the call right away. Just another typical scam, if you ask me.

Got a call this morning at 8.12am. I’ve got a BT blocker on, and since my partner’s working a late shift, the phone just gave one ring. Honestly, what a daft time to be calling!

After waiting ages, some bloke with a heavy Indian accent finally comes on the line and says, "Robert here. I’m ringing from Windows support about a virus on your PC."

I received a phone call this morning at 0934 from 01268776614, and the person on the other end had a pronounced Indian accent. They claimed to be representing Windows. As I'm a tad hard of hearing, I inquired if they were actually from Microsoft. He informed me that Microsoft doesn't make calls to individuals. So evidently, they've come up with a different strategy now - calling themselves Windows instead!

No clue who that was. Picked up the phone, said hello a couple times but got nothing in return. Then I tried asking if they wanted to talk or say anything, and suddenly some Indian bloke goes “no no no” and just cuts me off. Tried calling back but the number doesn’t even come up now - surprise surprise! What a load of nonsense.

I got a call from this number too, some bloke saying he worked in Windows support. Then when he noticed I’m using a Mac, he passed me on to another guy who wanted me to enter a website in Safari. I told him straight up he was trying to scam me, and he just hung up. Proper dodgy lot, honestly they should be stopped for good.

Just got a call on my mobile from this number around 7:57am today. A woman said she was ringing from Windows Support about my PC. My reaction? First, I thought, "Here we go again!" and then I quickly ended the call. Turns out loads of others have had calls from this same number. And clearly, the Telephone Preference Service isn’t much use - it’s supposed to block these but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

I just got a really dodgy call from this number. The guy asked about my laptop, and I said I don't own one. Then he started asking about my windows, so I told him I've got loads of windows... like in my house, and they're all fine. His English was awful and he sounded like he was munching his breakfast or something. Definitely felt like a scam.

I got a call from this number earlier at 11:18am but couldn’t pick up. When I called back, the line said the number wasn’t valid and to redial. Feels a bit dodgy, do you think it’s spam?

Got a call from some so called Microsoft tech support trying to get into my PC. Honestly, you'd think by now everyone would know this is a total scam. It’s mad that the government and phone companies can’t seem to put a stop to these annoying calls. They always say they can track down anyone's device no matter what, so why isn't anything done about this?

Got a call from this bloke earlier. He was trying to get me to sort stuff on my computer. I was about to ask him nicely to stop calling me, but then he started shouting and swearing, even bringing my missus into it. I gave him a piece of my mind right back. Not sure if I could actually rip his head off and chuck it where I wanted, but felt that way! Ended it all by wishing him a merry Christmas, still.
