It didn’t make much sense to me since I wasn't expecting any help from BT on that front, so I figured it was a scam and just blocked the number. Later, I ran a reverse phone search here and it said the number was from Basildon and linked to BT. To be sure, I contacted BT directly and they told me there was no record of any call to me and that it was probably a scam. They said their engineers wouldn’t ring up about my computer anyway.
