Received a call from number 01268653970 this afternoon. It was someone with a noticeable Chinese accent, inquiring about a supposed TV care policy that was meant to be renewed after three years. They tantalisingly claimed I could snag a whopping 50% discount on my previous payment. Considering I've owned my telly since well before the lockdown, that's over four years now. To my knowledge, I don't have any such policy in place. Definitely sounded like a scam to me!

Like others have mentioned, I got a call about some TV repair insurance I'd supposedly signed up for. They said I owed around £350 in overdue payments and that cancelling would cost me over £100. The weird part is, they knew the details of a card I used almost 4 years ago - makes me think there’s been a data leak somewhere and these scammers got hold of it. The lady on the phone said her name was Grace but didn’t tell me her surname or which company she was calling from.

I've been receiving a fair number of calls from this 01268 prefix lately, and it seems like only the final digits keep altering! Got a call from someone saying they were from a home insurance company or something similar, telling me my payment for a TV repair plan was due and that I had to renew it. I told them I hadn’t signed up for any such plan, but they kept insisting I was wrong, even blamed me for not keeping track of my payments, like it was my mistake. Then they just hung up on me. Honestly, they didn’t seem very clever.
