Got a call out of the blue asking if I was Mr (my surname). I was a bit cheeky and said “which one?” since my grown-up son also lives here. The person then said “the homeowner,” and I quickly guessed it was one of those home improvement sales calls. I told them straight up they were likely throwing their time away. They were quite polite about it and took the hint right away, ending the call quite nicely and without any fuss.

I didnt hear a word from the caller, just one of those annoying calls. I was under the impression that new laws were being introduced to take action against these types of calls.

Picked up my landline and said hello, could hear some soft noises in the background like maybe an office, but no one spoke. I tried saying hello one more time a bit louder and the line got cut off straight away. These annoying calls are the worst!

Then she started going on about how the awful government had handed out loads of cash to help us stay warm, as if that’s meant to be genuine. Whenever politicians get mentioned in these things, you just know it’s got to be dodgy. Definitely a SCAM 01268435562.
