I received a call from someone claiming to be with a firm named Albany, supposedly offering me a driving position with Amazon. Curiosity got the better of me, so I investigated the phone number, which originates from Basildon. It turns out Albany is actually a construction company working in the south-west of England, while I’m based in Essex. Just today, I discovered that the number is linked to Virgo, a business that deals with bedrooms and bathrooms over in Colchester. What a right con! They were digging for my mother's name and banking info-definitely a scam!
