The number seemed like it was from Basildon, so I picked up even though it didn’t ring any bells. All I got was dead silence on the other side. If only I knew how to block calls on our ancient landline. Definitely not answering if it rings again.

Just got a call a moment ago but nobody spoke when I answered. This is like the second time today, but each time it was a different number ringing me. Earlier, I had a bloke named "Charlie" with an accent from the subcontinent claiming he was from TalkTalk - total scam. It’s crazy people still fall for those bogus “your modem’s acting up” stories, otherwise they wouldn’t bother. Proper annoying and a bit upsetting really. I’m on the TPS register myself.

Terrible experience! I picked up and was quickly passed onto another person. They said "Your postcode has won a prize!" but I hung up straight away. The number was from Basildon too, so I just didn't trust it.

I got a call from an unknown number but didn’t pick up, letting it go to voicemail instead. There wasn't even a message, so I figured it was just some dodgy scam again. Proper irritating!

Got a call from some unknown number but didn’t bother to answer. They called again a few minutes later. I let it ring out straight to answerphone and they just hung up. Probably just another one of those annoying calls trying to sell me stuff or scam me out of cash. Honestly, I’m so fed up with these! The fancy Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to make any difference at all!

When I said I was on the TPS list and they shouldn’t be calling me, the bloke insisted he wasn’t trying to sell anything, so it was okay. I told him it sounded like a sales pitch to me and that I'd be reporting the call anyway.
