I got a call saying it was from "central banking" or something like that. They told me there were two transactions on my account this morning - one £300 to Amazon and another £1150 sent abroad. The automated voice told me to press a button to cancel or to talk to an advisor. Obviously, it’s a scam trying to trick you. The whole thing was an automated message trying to fake a banking alert.

Someone rang claiming to be from the "central banking" and said I’d had two withdrawals from my account this morning - one was £300 to Amazon and another £1500 sent abroad! No way! It was one of those automated calls telling me to press a button to cancel or speak to an advisor. Classic banking scam. I only picked up ‘cos the number looked a bit familiar, but I got it wrong. Obviously, I just hung up straight away. My bank never calls me out of the blue, and honestly, I don’t even have that much money in my account to begin with!
