Got a call from someone named Ashley claiming he was calling from “the review service” to go over my life insurance policies. I ended up chatting with him for a bit, mostly for a laugh. He said they were ‘independent’ yet also linked to ‘legal & general’, which sounded a bit dodgy. When I asked for an FCA registration number, he couldn’t provide one but insisted they were FCA authorised. Seemed like a typical sales pitch, possibly fishing for my personal info. Either way, dealing with them seems pointless unless you just want a bit of a chuckle.
