Received a call on the 5th of January 2023. The caller seemed to know my name and was keen to discuss my life insurance. However, when I pressed him for specifics about his employer-just referred to as "his boss"-and how he obtained my information, he became evasive. Eventually, he just cut the line when I continued to push for clarification. Strange behaviour, to say the least!

So, I got a call out of the blue from someone saying they were from my insurance company, offering to review my policy. They acted like they already had all my details and even mentioned a policy I never signed up for. Then they tried to talk me into changing or extending it. Felt really dodgy, like a sneaky sales pitch pretending to be legit.

When I picked up the call, they mentioned my name, which was a bit unsettling. It had all the hallmarks of a scam, and let's be honest, distinguishing genuine calls from dodgy ones is becoming increasingly tricky these days. So, in the end, I decided to hang up.

They seemed intent on providing details about my policy, and every time I attempted to express my satisfaction with my existing coverage, they just brushed it aside. The chap on the other end was courteous enough, but in the end, I had to cut the conversation short as he wasn't allowing me to simply decline.
