Yet another con job! From what I’ve noticed, these dodgy calls typically ring about four times before cutting off. That’s a classic indication it’s a spoof. Real callers tend to hang around for the voicemail to kick in and usually drop a message. Of course, some of the tricksters have been known to leave a voicemail in an attempt to deceive you. Take my word for it-don’t return the call! A mate of mine ended up with a £40 bill because of that. Just block the number and save yourself the hassle.

I don’t pick up; I just dial 1471 to find out who’s been trying to reach me, and this particular number consistently appears. I’m absolutely fed up with these calls from call centres.
