6 yearsThis bloke called saying he was from Microsoft, claiming they’d spotted some hackers got into my laptop and might've planted malware. He wanted me to switch it on and do what he said. I asked for some sort of proof, and he told me if I followed his steps, a code would pop up to confirm he was legit. He sounded pretty convincing but I had a funny feeling, so I told him my laptop was actually off and left in my wife’s car.
