Got one of those robotic female voices again after a few seconds of silence, saying something about my broadband being "compromisd" from BT or whatever it was. It's a total scam because I don’t even have a BT line anymore, switched over to cable through a different supplier ages ago. I just hung up and tried blocking the number, but they keep changing the caller ID so blocking doesn’t work. I really wish there was someone, like the police or an authority, who could actually catch these scumbags and stop them. These pests ruin so much time and never seem to get caught.

Honestly, I’m not convinced that reporting this number will stop much since the scammer keeps swapping the caller ID each time they ring. So your landline shows a different number every call, making it pretty tricky to block them effectively. This particular scam is one where you pick up and there’s silence for a few seconds, then a female robot voice starts claiming they’re from BT, warning you that your broadband has been hacked or compromised. It’s a dead giveaway it’s a con because I haven’t had a BT line or broadband with them for over four years now. I guess they’re trying to trick me into connecting to some dodgy service so they can get into my computer through my IP or something. Not on my watch! Just wish these scammers could be caught and locked up for good.
