Someone rang my workplace saying they were from SSE and asked for my meter number and invoice details. I felt suspicious because they were really forceful. So, I got in touch with SSE themselves, and they told me it was definitely a scam. Apparently, these fraudsters try to switch your energy supplier behind your back to earn commission!

Got a call from some bloke named Harry, said he was from Opus Energy wanting my meter number. He kept going on about some billing issue or whatever. The funny bit was, he gave me a number that was totally out of whack and couldn't even tell me the password I'd set up on my account - thought I’d cracked the scam straight away. Proper pushy chap, but honestly, he made my otherwise boring Monday arvo a bit more interesting. Bet they'll ring back soon, probably pretending to be someone called Keith next time.
