I’ve had money taken from my Barclaycard aswell. It happened back on 29th Jan and it’s now November. Swift Financial told me the refund should arrive within 30 days, that was on 26th Oct, but I’ve seen nothing yet. What really frustrates me is Swift keeps sending me packages for claims on other stuff, feels like they might be part of a scam. Anyone know where I can get info about the 1974 Act, Sect 75? I’m not sure Barclaycard will give me my money back now.

I spent ages looking into this and it turns out they’re now operating as 123-refund ltd in Swansea, with 03336780038 on their site. Of course, they say they’re not connected, but there’s an investigation going on. If you look up their licence number, Richard M Jackson is named as the director, and he’s linked to loads of companies that have been shut down.

I think there was a guy named Floyd Lay who convinced me to go for a PPI claim. He must’ve been making loads, but he still took £500 off my card. Honestly, I reckon he’s a proper thief. The Ministry of Justice, who let these lot operate, should definitely look into him. Proper rip-off artist if you ask me.

16/09/2017 I vaguely recall some bloke named Floyd Lay trying to convince me to go for a PPI claim. He probably made a fortune but ended up taking £500 straight off my card. Proper crook if you ask me, shame the Ministry of Justice allowed those types to operate. Absolute rip-off artist.

Yeah, I got scammed and ended up paying £499 back in Oct 2016. But I made a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. I had used my HSBC credit card to pay, so I filled out some forms and sent them everything I had from Your Money Rights plus a copy of my card statement to show proof of payment. Just got the full £499 refunded today! Seriously, check out the 1974 Act and start from there!

Yourmoneyrights have moved their office to London, but I would seriously avoid them, they're a total rip off. Still no sign of my refund, had to sort it out through my credit card provider. Such a hassle.

Right, I’ve had it with constantly moaning! What’s the best way to put a stop to these lot? I’ve been dealing with them on and off for six months now. Reported them to the Legal Ombudsman and if you’ve paid with a credit card, get your bank involved. I managed to get some money back by doing both! Even though I haven’t lost out in the end, I’m not going to stop banging on until Companies House pulls them off their register, or better yet, they get taken to court and have to refund everyone who got caught up in their nonsense!

Absolutely dodgy company! They charged me £499 and then vanished - couldn’t get hold of them at all. Luckily, my credit card provider sorted me out with a refund thanks to Section 75 protection. Avoid these lot like the plague. I’ve also heard they operate from the same place but with a different name. When I phoned, they acted like they had no clue about YMR. Proper scammers.

they grabbed the money and when i raised a complaint they sent me a letter saying they'd look into it but that was all i got! I reported it to gov.uk and theyve been told to stop doing this but i dont think ill ever get my money back.

Bloody scammers took £499 from my debit card. I rang the bank yesterday afternoon after seeing these reviews to try get my cash back but it’s past 100 days so I lost out. Luckily I found out they set it up to take money every year, so I managed to get it stopped. I’m lucky in that way. Definitely check with your bank’s fraud department, folks.

This firm was shut down by the ministry of justice back on 4/5/2017. If they haven’t provided you with any service, you should be able to get a refund by contacting your bank or credit card provider for a chargeback.

All those good reviews seem like they’re from the scammers themselves. Don’t trust them. When they asked for my card info, I said I didn’t have one and they just ended the call.

You’ve been well and truly scammed! They were charging folks amounts like £495, £595, and £299 as some kind of "Holding deposit", but if you paid, you wouldn’t get it back, ever. The way they work is by swapping the company name and directors, then disappearing. They’ve operated under names like SMS LEGAL, U Legal, Yourmoneyrights and others. The dodgy part is they’re still based in the same office but now go by FASTPPI, phone number 01267226777. Watch out!

I’ve also fallen foul of yourmoneyrights[###][###], losing £499. They then handed things over to Swift Financial, who have now said they’re not linked to Your Money Rights anymore. It’s clear Swift Financial knew something was wrong, or they wouldn’t have ended their relationship, yet they never bothered to warn anyone. This is honestly shocking. Not only did Your Money Rights scam me and others, but I reckon Swift Financial are just as bad for keeping quiet and not telling the customers what was really going on.

Your cash is just as important as anyone elses. They took £599 from my partners credit card without permission. Im now sorting things with the claims regulator and getting a written complaint together so I can take it to the ombudsman if needed.

Totally spam, they cover themselves with a fancy sounding fake business to make it seem legit but really they just want to scam you out of £599. Luckily I refused and said no, and the guy just snapped at me like I wasn’t paying attention before hanging up. Complete waste of time. Don’t trust them, just block the number straight away.

Just got hit with the same problem like someone else said before. I haven’t looked at my credit card yet to see if they charged that supposed £1 fee, but since I’m already maxed out, it probably won’t matter. After reading other people’s experiences, I’ve gone ahead and blocked both the number and the email, waiting for them to ring back and cause a fuss. THIS IS TOTALLY UNFAIR, I’ve reported it to trading standards.
9 years
This is a complete rip off, they ask for your card info saying they’ll just charge £1, which they claim will be put back straight away. But actually they end up taking like £599 from your account. You should report this to trading standards, it’s gotta be stopped.

this Carmarthen group keeps ringing from 01267242595 and gave me a ref number: crm16653, which actually checks out on the claims regulation gov.uk site. thankfully, I didn’t share any card info. someone at reception called Anthony Evans (might be a fake name) - seeing the comments here makes me wary. they haven’t been nasty yet, but I’m not risking it after all that’s been said. how can a so-called ‘government approved company’ act this way and not be held responsible? with all this proof, I’d say steer well clear of these lot!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a number, 01267244735, claiming to be SMS Legal regarding PPI. The caller was probing into my past credit card usage and wanted to know if I'd ever had any hire purchase agreements or mortgages. I made it abundantly clear that I hadn’t paid any interest or made any PPI contributions, yet he was rather persistent in pressuring me for my credit card information for purported credit checks. Naturally, I refused! Just a heads-up, folks, stay vigilant!
