The bloke just kept going hello, then said he could hear me and started bashing the keypad loads of times, real professional stuff! Then he laughed and hung up. Some bloke called Jimbo claimed he knew me “from just down the road” and even gave an address a couple of doors away from mine - total error! When I asked how he got my number, he reckoned I had given it to him at a pub a few weeks back. No chance, I’ve only just come back from Oz after months away! Told him to buzz off and hung up. Not long after, he rang again and left a voicemail starting with “Hi, Jimbo here from down the road,” and then just let the background chatter from the call centre go on for ages. What a proper muppet. He really needs to sort himself out, though I’m not hopeful about mental health support around Carmarthen! I’m definitely reporting him to the Welsh Police and OFCOM for harassment. What a plonker he is! (No offence to plonkers, they’re alright really).

Got a call about some "money increase on hidden insurance," which I think was about PPI. When I asked when I agreed to be contacted, the guy said we’d had a chat last week and I was fine to talk. Complete nightmare, ringing me at 7 in the evening while I’m trying to eat. The guy on the line actually had the nerve to call me a fool and then hung up on me. I rang back and the manager picked up, who was just as bad, asking if my tea was warm or cold and then accused me of being the rude one. got two calls from this number in one day, and they actually knew my name! They never said how they knew it, just asked who they were speaking to, then said 'red star' and started on about me owing money on a credit card from like 20 years ago. I suspected it was some ppi scam, but I’m really curious about where they got my personal info from. Back when I had that card, I didn’t have a mobile phone, I wasn’t even a Mrs, and I’ve changed address a few times since then.
