I received a call from this number, and the person was soliciting donations for children with brain injuries. The individual had an accent that sounded Indian, perhaps even Pakistani. I'm curious if anyone knows if this is a legitimate cause, as they seemed quite insistent on acquiring bank details. Any information would be appreciated!

Blimey, those voices are a spitting image of one another, aren’t they?

Honestly, it’s quite disheartening to see such negative sentiments being directed at this charity. They’re involved in numerous commendable initiatives, one of which has significantly benefited our autistic child through their lending of specialised books and tools. Perhaps a little research into the charity’s mission and values would be illuminating. There’s no need to be unpleasant to others; a simple “No, thank you, we’re not interested” would suffice.

I can confirm that I do not employ anyone from India or Pakistan in my workforce.

I came across this wonderful charity based in Carmarthen, South Wales, called CEREBRA. They’re truly making a difference in the lives of children with brain injuries. Their work is genuinely impressive! If you’re curious to learn more, do check out their website at www.cerebra.org.uk.

While I see I'm not alone in my sentiments, it's truly exasperating how these persistent callers seem to have no regard for our circumstances. We've been inundated with their calls-sometimes two or even three times a day! As parents of a child with disabilities, we face daily challenges, not least of which is the financial pressure that comes with raising them. It's a real battle at times, and we often can't spare any funds, even when we'd like to help. Honestly, wouldn’t it be far more sensible for these organisations to send information via post instead? It surely must cost them much less in the long run, what with all these incessant phone calls!

We don't have a clue who this number belongs to, and the callers frequently just put the phone down. We're registered with the ex-directory and the Telephone Preference Service, yet they somehow still manage to get in touch!

It may be worth considering initiating your calls with a friendly reminder that you've got their number from a database, and simply ask if they'd like me to remove it. Then, if individuals prefer not to be removed, you could gracefully continue your search for donations. Given your ties with Cerebra, it might be beneficial to share this suggestion with your higher-ups. It could potentially reassure, as you've mentioned, a significant portion of the British populace that you’re not simply trying to irritate them.

I must say, the team at Cerebra has been absolutely splendid! To be honest, we're a bit perplexed by the negative comments. As parents of a son on the autism spectrum, we've had numerous interactions with them, and they've always been nothing short of professional and kind. Their dedication and service are truly commendable, and we've consistently found them to be respectful and supportive. It's a shame others haven't experienced the same positivity we've encountered!

I've encountered this number far too often now. It's reached a point where I don’t even bother answering the phone when it rings anymore. I'm absolutely fed up with constant interruptions from companies like these!

Received a missed call from this number earlier today, so I decided to do a bit of digging. Not particularly concerned, just a touch intrigued. 😊 By the way, if you happen to ring again, don’t take it too seriously, I might just get a bit theatrical! 😂 Also, I must ask, how on earth can someone misinterpret a Welsh accent for something foreign or even Pakistani? They’re quite distinct, don’t you think? Cheers!

It's quite disheartening to see such negativity directed towards a charity that does a tremendous amount of good. We've personally benefited from their services, such as borrowing specialist literature and equipment tailored for our child on the spectrum. Perhaps a bit of research into the charity's mission and values would shed some light? There's really no need for rudeness; a simple, "We're not interested, thank you," would suffice. Let's all try to be a bit kinder, shall we?

It's quite improbable, considering my role at Cerebra, where all my fundraising colleagues are British. If I were to lose my temper and yell down the line, my supervisor would undoubtedly witness my behaviour, and it could lead to some serious consequences. My sole intention is to gather funds for children with brain injuries, not to irritate anyone, regardless of what a significant portion of the British public might believe.

Received a call from this number, but the moment we answered, the caller hung up. I take it this must be one of those systems where multiple calls are made at once, and the first person to pick up gets the short straw! Quite the nuisance, really.

Could it be that this chap has a Welsh lilt, which feels somewhat off-kilter, almost reminiscent of South Asian tones? It’s quite surprising that there doesn’t appear to be any Indian or Pakistani staff among you. Is that some sort of organisational choice?

What’s the point of this? Just stop with the annoying phone calls already! It seems someone has sold you a dodgy list. Please, cease using it! I do contribute to charities, but certainly not to ones like yours that reward people for gathering phone numbers and peddling dodgy or fabricated personal information!

Even after we’ve told them repeatedly to stop calling, Cerbera just won’t let up, relentlessly pestering us for cash. They're a real nuisance! We have no intention of parting with any money, and we strongly urge others to follow suit.

CEREBRA truly is a commendable charity, isn't it? I've had the occasion to receive a call from them in the past, but I must say, they never once asked for any bank particulars. If you're ever uncertain but wish to contribute, it's quite simple-just get in touch with them! They’d be more than happy to take a cheque or they can provide you with a form to facilitate a bank payment. I do hope they’re not considering a shift in their approach.

Perhaps it would be wise to initiate a call, as I possess your number linked to a database. It seems you’d prefer to have this removed. However, when individuals are not keen on being erased from the system, it could potentially prompt some polite requests for donations. You seem to be involved in local initiatives; you might consider forwarding this to your supervisors, as it could aid in persuading, as you mentioned, 'a significant portion of the British populace’ that it isn’t necessary to 'irritate’ them.
