I picked up the phone and was taken aback by the chap on the other end. Vexed, I mentioned how rampant the PPI scams have become, and he didn’t take kindly to that at all! His tone turned quite hostile as he insisted that the phone number was traceable. I fired back, asking how he even got hold of my digits and insisted he remove me from his call list. The moment I threatened to report him, he abruptly cut the line mid-sentence! What a cheek!

I had a chat with the chap today, and he mentioned that I should be able to reclaim my PPI. All I need to do is provide him with the phone number printed on the reverse side of my credit card. He assured me that they would reach out to the card company on my behalf, and I should see my funds returned. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the card handy at the time, so he told me he would ring me again tomorrow.

Received a rather peculiar phone call where the bloke claimed he was putting me to sleep with his drivel. When I expressed my disinterest, he cheekily responded, “Oh really? I’ll give you a bell in ten!” I promptly told him to shove off. Tried ringing the number back only to be greeted with a recorded message stating, “The other party has ended the call.” Absolutely brilliant way to conduct business, Winchester and Deakin!

On the 25th of June, 2013, I received a call where the caller simply wouldn't hang up. After ten minutes of this nonsense, I finally decided to end things myself. Initially, I could hear voices in the background, but it went silent after a while. Then, at precisely 10:12 in the morning the following day, they tried their luck again. It was the same awkward affair-background chatter, and then it all went quiet again. Quite the peculiar experience, if you ask me!
