got a call today saying I’d won a 2 night break anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales, all I had to do was pay £15 per breakfast upfront. she wanted me to pay over the phone but I told her I was working and not giving money for something I never asked for. she said she’d ring me again tomorrow. if she does, I know exactly what I’ll be telling her - won’t be very friendly!

Got a call from this number at 12:52 on 22nd September. I picked up after letting it ring about 8 times, but as soon as I answered, they just hung up without saying a word or leaving a message. Seems like a trick to make me call back and end up on a premium rate line. Thankfully, I didn’t bite. They haven’t bothered to call again yet. So far, just a frustrating nuisance.

Now they’re trying the accident claim nonsense. I’m getting quite good at fobbing them off by agreeing but saying it’s not on me and all that, just dragging it out. Usually ends with a supervisor getting involved. When I ask them how they got my number, they just hang up straight away. The trick is shouting at them to f### off before they realise you’re not having any of it. Feels good to give them a mouthful before blocking their number!

We own our place outright and aren’t under Hallamshire council’s jurisdiction. They had our full name and number, trying to set up a callback. We’re ex-directors and listed on the TPS. Seems like a total scam or fraud to me. Don’t share any info or agree to any meetings with them.

Got a timeshare company calling saying we've got some unused weeks that will be lost if we don't use them soon. They say it’ll just cost a small fee to make use of these weeks. Told them we’re self-isolating cuz of serious health issues and can’t possibly use them right now. They just said tough luck and that we’d lose the weeks. Since then, they've kept ringing again and again. Honestly, it’s getting a bit tiresome now. I think they're genuine, but it's the typical timeshare pushiness.

It seems I’ve had a run-in with a rather annoying autodialler.
