Got two calls on my phone in half an hour from an automated voice claiming it was from Visa. Said there was a try to withdraw £900 from my account and asked me to press 1. Pretty clear it was a scam, especially since I don’t even use Visa cards.

Got a call when I was in the loo, so I couldnt answer right away. When I rang back, the line was always busy. Left a message asking them to ring me again then decided to check the number here. I got a dodgy call from 01264773151 with some robotic voice saying they’d take £79.99 from my account, then telling me to press 1 to speak to an Amazon account manager if I wanna cancel. I had the same call from numbers like 01533661220, 01283 247089, 07741820335, 07984209417 and even 0012029971458. Checked with Amazon and they said they never ring like that. Anyone with an Amazon account already knows how to reach them properly, so just don’t trust those calls.

I got a call from this number first with an automated message saying my Amazon Prime subscription needed paying £79.99 or it would be cancelled. After that, someone with a strong foreign accent came on and asked for my details to keep the service going for the same amount. I told them straight away it was a scam and ended the call. I later tried ringing back but got either busy tone or no answer at all. I’m based in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
