Avoid this number at all costs! They send emails with fake offers and ring you from it, but it’s not actually linked to The Phone House at all. Total scam!!

Just got a call from them now. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of scam calls pretending to be from 02.

Got a call on my mobile from a number I didn’t recognise, so I didn’t pick up since all my regular contacts show up by name. The area code was quite similar to my ex-husband’s, almost made me answer, but I let it ring and later checked this site. Turns out, the call was from Andover - pretty sure it’s a scam. Better to play it safe and ignore calls from unknown numbers. I’ve blocked it now.

Just a heads up, they’re pretending to be O2, but they aren’t actually from there. Watch out!

So I've been getting loads of calls from O2 pretending to be them but it's definitely some kind of scam. If this keeps happening to you, best bet is to reach out to the actual O2 company and ask them to change your phone number because it looks like scammers have got hold of it somehow.

I answered when they called for the third time, and right away they said "hello ma'am," which felt a bit off. They asked how I was doing, but I kept asking who they were, like twice, then they just ended the call.

Got a dodgy call from someone with a heavy Asian accent claiming to be from Currys PC World, offering some amazing deal. I played along for a couple of minutes before they finally gave up and ended the call. Pretty sure the number was fake, but I’ve blocked it just in case.

I’d just like to share my experience with a recent phone call I had. I answered what I thought was an O2 call, and when I informed them I wasn't a customer of O2-despite being one-they promptly ended the conversation. Quite baffling, really!

A woman with an Indian accent called, claiming to be from O2, offering me a Christmas deal. I've always been a loyal customer, consistently settling my bills without delay. I informed her that O2 doesn’t usually make sales calls like this and requested that she send any offers via a proper letter with the O2 branding. She then asked for my email address. I replied that if she represents O2 and considers me a valued customer, surely they must already possess my email details!

I received a call from what sounded like the Carphone Warehouse, but it turned out to be an Indian call centre. When I mentioned that I was aware of their little scheme, they suddenly switched to fluent English and started cursing! Quite the performance, I must say!

The phone started ringing, and an unfamiliar number flashed up on the screen. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to pick up. It turned out to be someone from Car Phone Warehouse, claiming I could snag an iPhone 12 Pro for just £25. Naturally, I felt a twinge of suspicion and mentioned that I wasn’t in the mood for any dodgy dealings. To my surprise, the person on the other end told me to go f*** myself before abruptly hanging up. Quite shocking, to say the least!

I received a phone call from that very same number back on the 5th of July in 2021, pinpointing Andover as the origin. It’s a bit suspect when the caller is from so far away, usually a hint that the whole thing’s a right scam. Unfortunately, I was unable to pick up at that moment, but from the feedback I've seen here, it seems wise not to engage with them at all. I've gone ahead and blocked the number, and I’d recommend you do the same!

I received a call from this number today. An Indian woman claimed to be representing the Carphone branch here in the UK. Oddly enough, she even seemed familiar with various city names across the UK. Just a word of caution, this could be a scam. It appears these calls are being made from India or other nearby countries in South East Asia. Keep your wits about you!
