Someone rang me from this number, saying they were with BT and that my router was causing issues and sending errors to BT Openreach. A couple of days earlier, I’d had a call from 01284857640 with pretty much the same story. He never knew my name - if he was actually from BT, he’d surely have had it. I called him out on being dodgy and just hung up. The accent sounded like it came from a call centre in India, even though the area code was for Bury St Edmunds, then later today I got a similar call from Andover.
