Just had a barrage of calls this afternoon from these numbers: 01264416049, 01253472275, 01277334549, 01216848564, 01206971064, 01238281114, 01289829006, and 01224473847. The first chap I spoke to had a rather thick accent and his English was quite appalling, claiming there were issues with my computer. When I asked him where he was calling from, he had the gall to say Reading in Berkshire. I mentioned I used to be stationed there with the RAF, but frankly, I wasn’t interested in his spiel. He kept interrupting me and it became clear it was a dodgy operation. I told him I was feeling unwell and was stuck in bed. He insisted it would only take five minutes to sort out the 'problem', but I insisted I needed to return to my rest. He rang back not once, but three times, really pressing the matter. In the end, I had to block him along with the rest of the persistent lot using BT 1572. Clearly, he was hell-bent on getting access to my computer.
