Over the past couple of hours, I had a few calls from these numbers: 01264416049, 01253472275, 01277334549, 01216848564, 01206971064, 01238281114, 01289829006, 01224473847, plus 01253 472275. The first caller was a bloke with a heavy foreign accent, struggling to speak English properly. He kept insisting there was an issue with my computer. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Reading in Berkshire. I told him I’d been in the RAF based there once, but I wasn’t interested. Despite me trying to get a word in, he kept interrupting, and I soon clocked it was a scam. I told him I was unwell in bed, but he replied it’d only take 5 minutes to fix. I told him I really needed to rest, but he rang back three times, not giving up. In the end, I blocked all those numbers on BT 1572, as they seemed intent on getting access to my computer.
