Got a call on my wife’s phone from someone with an Indian accent who was trying to pitch a “better” mobile deal. My missus was polite and explained that it’s not really likely, since we’re with BT mobile and pay just £5 a month for unlimited texts and calls plus 1GB of data. I can categorically state this is a total con! I received a call from someone claiming to be from 'Carphone Warehouse,' offering what they called a complimentary phone upgrade. I mentioned that I’m already under contract, but they insisted it was a “no-cost promotional upgrade.” When I queried who my current provider was, they fluffed it and got it completely wrong!
