Got a call from 01263915824 claiming to be Barclays bank, saying a council payment got charged twice. I just ended the call straight away since I know banks don’t ring customers like that. They’ve called me about five times already. I reported it to BT and they’ve blocked the number now.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with the BT Technical Department, and his accent was quite thick, clearly of Asian origin. Right from the get-go, I realised it was a scam and made that abundantly clear to him, but he kept pushing for a response. To be honest, I rather enjoyed stringing him along, and after a while, he finally threw in the towel!

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, but their strong Asian accent was a bit off. When I told them I’d put them through to the fraud department, they just suddenly cut the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

A lady with an Indian accent called me saying she was from British Telecom technical support. I couldn’t help but chuckle and told her I’ve dealt with loads of ISPs like Virgin, Sky, and TalkTalk. Seemed like a typical scam to me!

Had someone ring me pretending they needed my phone number to "protect" me from hackers trying to get into my PC! I wasn't about to fall for that, so I told her to hold on a mo while I started up my computer. Instead, I cheekily left her waiting on the line and went for a stroll outside :-)))

Had a quick chat with some lady who said her name was "Nancy". She spoke really fast and had quite a strong Indian accent. She claimed she was ringing from BT’s tech team. I tried to check if she was legit by asking her to give me my account number. As soon as I did that, she just hung up straight away. Pretty clear this was a scam, no doubt about it. BEWARE, TOTAL SCAM!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were part of BT’s “technical dept.” They claimed my computer was sending all sorts of “bad messages” to BT’s servers and said they could fix it if I let them use TeamViewer to access my PC remotely. I wasn’t having any of it and called them out as a total scammer. They just ended the call after that.

So this bloke rings me up sayin’ he’s Jack W, but I wasn’t buying it and just told him “yeah right” before slamming the phone down. Weird thing is, I’ve had a few calls like that recently from different numbers after things had been pretty quiet for a while. Seems like they’re back at it again.

Got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian subcontinent accent, saying he was with the National Crime Agency looking into some computer crime. I told him pretending to be a police officer is illegal - did he not know that? When I didn’t go along with it, he got a bit pushy, but I just said I’d be happy to assist the police if he wasn’t a scammer. After that, he gave up and hung up. This is the second time in a few days I’ve had a similar call, but from a different phone number.

I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up, and there was no voicemail either. Oddly enough, a few other unfamiliar and weird numbers have called me today too. I reckon they’re all just scammers. They usually ring up pretending there’s something wrong with your internet or router, trying to trick you into letting them access your computer remotely.

i already blocked this number a while back, yet today it tried to ring me again - thankfully it was blocked straight away. makes it obvious they’re still out there. had a look at what others said, and definitely watch out! looks like these people are up to no good, probably after your private info and might be involved in scams related to some shady business. i’d say mark this one as risky for sure.
