I got a call pretending to be from Amazon Prime saying there was dodgy stuff on my credit card, then they said my internet would be cut off and that I might face legal trouble over unpaid taxes... and that’s just a few of the things they’ve tried. The first time these scammers ring, it’s pretty nerve-wracking. But after hearing the same rubbish about ten times, I just end the call straight away and don’t give it another thought. My only worry is that eventually I’ll ignore a real warning by accident.

In just under an hour, I’ve gotten calls from three different numbers claiming to be from Amazon, warning me that my Prime subscription is about to renew. The funny thing is, I don’t even have an account with them! It’s clearly a scam using loads of different numbers, so simply blocking one number won’t stop them. Watch out, it’s definitely dodgy.
