6 yearsI’ve just received a dodgy recorded call from the number 01262 490004. It's nothing new, really, and rather unoriginal, if you ask me. The blokes on the line claimed that someone had apparently siphoned off £600 from my bank account using either my Mastercard or Visa - they were a bit vague, which is another red flag. They've been peddling the same story about the amount and timing for ages. I was advised to 'press 1' to either halt or approve the transaction (as if those were my only options!). I can't help but think that would have connected me to a premium-rate number with no way to cut off the call.
