Received a dodgy recorded call from 01262 490004 just now. It’s one of those classic scams, nothing new or clever about it. The message claimed someone had just taken £600 from my account using either my Mastercard or Visa (they never said which). We've heard the same sum and time frame from similar calls before. They told me to press 1 to either cancel or confirm the transaction - bit confusing, right? I’m guessing that would’ve hooked me into a pricey premium rate line with no way to hang up. If anyone’s using this number for honest reasons, they’re likely risking their good name.
