So I got a call with a supposedly great EE deal, but I told them it wasn’t an EE number. Then the guy went on about how he could tell I was a big EE fan and that I should really switch. After that, he rattled off loads of things he said I could get on my phone. I explained I was already tied into a contract and happy with it. He said they’d set up a new contract for me with a brand new phone anyway. I kept saying I wasn’t interested, then eventually hung up and blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a strong Indian accent, saying she was from O2’s Promotions Team. She was offering a new deal that included a 40% discount on the latest phone and unlimited calls and texts. I said I was fine with my current phone and contract, thanks. Then she asked what I’m paying each month and which phone I use. I gave her some random details and repeated that I wasn’t interested. After that, she wished me a good day and hung up. Probably one of the nicer scammy calls I've answered recently, but there’s no chance it was a legit O2 call.
