Got a call from Kynex, a company that deals in business mobile, broadband and telecoms deals. They’ve rung me a few times before, but only this time did they properly say it was Kynex - usually they just mumble something about being O2 partners. Very pushy sales chat. Looking at their TrustPilot reviews, I wouldn’t trust anything they promise. They say their business tariffs beat the main providers, but in reality, the final price ends up being more expensive than they say. You can try blocking their number, but they often switch it up, so you’re bound to get a call from them again.

I’m based on the Isle of Man and this number rang me up, saying they could sort better business rates with Manx Telecom. I told them I doubted it, thanked them, and ended the call straight away.

They kept going on about “Connect” and “EE” like they were legit, but it was obvious they were just reading from some dodgy scam script.

Got a call supposedly from Vodafone about upgrading my account but obviously wasn’t really them. They started asking for my bank info, which raised red flags straight away. Such scams are annoying, and I really wish there were tougher consequences for these fraudsters. #scam

What’s wrong with folks letting these scammers ask them all kinds of personal stuff? Just cut the call off and block the number, easy as that.

They called to ask about my phone plan details, but I fed them some fake answers which seemed to confuse them a bit. Even then, they kept going. When I brought up GDPR rules, they suddenly vanished. Best thing is to just block and not reply.

Got a call from someone saying they were from O2, trying to flog me something. I just told him to buzz off and multiply. The guy sounded like a robot - weird background noise when he talked, but dead silent while I was supposed to reply. I just let him ramble on for a bit then he finally gave up and hung up. Blocked the number straight away.

I got a call supposedly from O2, and the woman on the line was super pushy about these new plans. Even after I told her I wasn’t bothered, she just kept going and wouldn’t accept a simple no. In the end, I had to just hang up. Total scam in my opinion!

It’s a complete scam, they call pretending to be from O2 and try to trick you into getting a new phone contract, acting like they’re your existing provider. Totally dodgy and probably against the law!

Got a call from someone that said her name was Ellie and she was with Sky. She kept asking loads of personal stuff, like details about our gadgets, the tariff plans we use, and even stuff about our wifi setup. She also wanted to know about our social media profiles which felt a bit off. Once I told her we’re fine with our current deals, she cut off the call pretty sharpish.
