Got a different number again, automated voice claimed it was from BT, said my internet’s been hacked by my neighbours and it'll get cut off unless I press 1 to talk to an engineer or another key for other options. This is the fifth time in just two days, with calls coming from all over, from Scotland down to southern England. How do these lot still manage to pull this off without getting caught?

so ive been getting these calls from different numbers, all recorded, claiming to be from bt. they say my internet's been hacked by my neighbours and it’ll be cut off unless i press 1 to speak to an engineer or press another button. ive had about five calls in two days, coming from places all over, from scotland down to the south of england. it boggles me how they are allowed to do this without getting stopped!
