Today, I received a rather alarming call from a chap with a strong foreign accent who claimed that my internet connection had been compromised. It's quite unnerving, really, as this appears to be a clever ruse; these sorts of scammers often have nefarious intentions and could potentially gain access to everything on my computer if I were to fall for their tricks. Quite a nasty piece of work, if you ask me!

Got a call from 01259 939 835 earlier today (14/1/22). There was some noise like maybe other people chatting in the background, but no one actually talked to me. I just told whoever it was to “bugger off” and hung up. It looks like this number is part of a bunch of scam calls that share similar digits.

I wouldn't recommend engaging with these callers. It's a complete con and a scam! They try to pass it off as marketing, but don't be fooled. If you pick up such calls, you'll find they just keep pestering you repeatedly. Best to ignore them altogether!

I received a call from this number, but they disconnected as soon as I picked up. There wasn't a peep or any background noise, just silence. Quite odd, really!

I received a rather convincing call claiming to be from O2, offering discounts on my calling plan. They had an alarming amount of information about my current plan and even mentioned my email address, which made them seem quite legitimate. I was sent two texts that appeared to be from O2 as well, along with a request for a verification code from one of those messages. After reporting the incident to O2, they informed me that their fraud investigation team is on the case. Honestly, one can't help but wonder if there's a serious data breach at O2; how else could these criminals access sensitive information like device and plan details, along with generating these O2 security codes? It’s all very concerning, so I urge everyone to remain vigilant!

I keep getting calls from these idiots and it’s clearly a scam. I urge everyone to make use of their phone’s blocking features to shut these calls down. Most smartphones have that capability, so why not use it? There really ought to be some laws put in place to put an end to these nuisance cold callers.
