I get loads of calls every day from an Indian lady who says she’s with BT Openreach. They start ringing me as early as 7:30 in the morning. When I try to ring back, the number doesn’t exist. I told them I’d report it to TPS and Ofcom, and all they said was “Go on then” before hanging up. Why is BT not doing anything to stop this, if these people are just pretending to be from them?

I've noticed that some of these calls show up on my phone with totally random numbers, sometimes ones that don't seem to be in use at all. When I try calling back, I just get a robot saying the number's unrecognised. Loads of the time, I can hear what sounds like a call centre in the background with people speaking in Indian accents. Got a call from someone claiming to be "BT," saying hackers were messing with my internet and they'd have to cut it off. I told them I didn’t actually have internet (which isn’t true), and that seemed to confuse the person a bit. I just kept asking, "You're not telling the truth, are you?" - they kept denying it, but in the end admitted they were lying and then hung up.
