Somebody rang claiming to be from EDF, trying to switch my contract. However, when I asked for my account number, they couldn't give me the right one. I got a bit wary, asked a few more questions, and then they just ended the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone called "Alan" claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse in Wolverhampton. Oddly, the number was Scottish. He tried selling me an iPhone 13 Pro for just £5 a month. I told him I’d think it over and he told me to ring back on 01618 182045. Sounds fishy to me, definitely a scam!

Got a call from some call centre, loads of noise in the background and the person on the phone spoke with a thick Indian accent. They said they were calling from “Currys Mobile Phone Company” offering great deals on mobiles. When I asked how they managed to get my phone number, they just dropped the call.

Got two calls on the same day, both from guys with Indian accents. The first said he was 'Sam', the other had a different name. They both claimed to be from BT Telephone Preference Service, offering to 'improve' the service to stop pesky scam and junk calls. I humoured them for a bit, but then when they asked for my bank details, I just ended the call. Classic scam really.

I checked my blocked calls list and saw this number tried to ring me six times just yesterday. Luckily, BT’s Call Protect stopped all of them, but I wonder how many tries it'll take before they realise calling me is a complete waste of time?

This number's been ringing me about four times since this afternoon. It’s got the 01259 prefix, which I know’s Alloa in Scotland, but my phone shows it as an 'international' caller, so I just ignore it. Heard it might be that scam where they push you to pay for some 'premium' service that isn’t real at all. Sounds dodgy to me.
