I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, and since they didn’t bother to leave me a message on the answerphone, I’m guessing it probably wasn't anything urgent.

I’m pretty sure the bloke calling wasn’t actually from Alloa, which if I’m right is somewhere up north. He was quite polite, but kept pushing hard trying to get me to take out some TV breakdown cover. I ended up tying him up for about six minutes, not much else going on really.

Some guy rang me up saying he could cover my phone with insurance for £30 a year and that any repairs would be free. He kept wanting to know stuff like my age and said I could pay using a credit or debit card. I think he had an Indian accent.
