Couldn’t catch a word the bloke said, his accent was so thick. He did know my name though. I couldn’t figure out his name or which company he was claiming to ring from. After I asked him a bunch of times to say it again cause I just couldn’t get it, he got annoyed and ended the call.

Like many here, I’ve noticed these calls often come from scammers in India who somehow dig up phone numbers and names from domain registration details. I’m pretty sure about this because I own a web business and handle domain sign-ups for clients. So, when I get random calls asking about one of my clients, it's clear they’ve pulled their info straight from the WHOIS records.

They rang me but the line was really choppy. All I could hear was them repeating "Hi, hello..." before suddenly cutting off.

The call was really hard to understand because of awful audio quality. Couldn't figure out what they were saying at all, so I've just blocked the number now.
