What’s all this fuss about a PPI claim that I don’t even have? It's quite baffling, isn't it?

the person on the bt caller id didnt say who they were, so i figured it was either some sort of scam or a call centre. ive gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call on my mobile from someone with a bad connection, sounded like a weary Asian woman. She was mumbling about the ‘British Finance Society’ or something like that. Are they still chasing that PPI nonsense? I thought that ended last August. Seems like it just never stops!

He rang up asking if I handled the bills for the business linked to the number. I told him I didn’t, so he wanted me to pass him on to whoever does. I said they weren’t in till next week and asked if he wanted to leave a message. He just said no and hung up straight away. Definitely seemed suspicious to me.

I answered the phone, but the person on the other end hung up right away after calling.

I rang back after missing the call, but the number just said it wasn’t in service. Looked it up here and found out it's a dodgy one.
