Got a call around 9:45 this morning from a woman speaking with an Indian accent. She said she was calling from HMRC and even mentioned my partner’s name and address, who was the one who answered. The caller insisted there was some legal trouble because of unpaid taxes or something along those lines. She then tried to get my partner’s date of birth and insurance number. Thankfully, my partner caught on it was a scam and pretended not to understand, so she didn’t give any details. The caller was quite pushy though and ended the call abruptly when we started firing back questions.
