Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Alex and he was from Mastercard or Visa. He told me that my card had been used fraudulently online and that they were blocking it just for online purchases. He said a new card would be sent to my local bank. He did know my name and address, but when I asked for more info, he just hung up. Totally a scam! I rang my bank afterwards and they told me it wasn’t their call and my card was completely fine. They said I did the right thing by checking it out.

They called and wanted to speak to me by name, but when I said I wasn’t here they just hung up. The person had a strange accent and wouldn’t explain what the call was about. Pretty odd really.
