Around 8 in the morning on 12th March 2018, I got a call from 01258648965 on my landline. When I answered, it was dead silent for a few seconds and then suddenly, I heard a robotic voice saying ‘goodbye’ before the call ended.

Got a call from some bloke called Ahmed claiming to be from "bt" about issues with my internet. Pretty sure it’s just another scam and honestly, just a big headache.

Just got a call from this number, some bloke pretending to be from BT saying my internet had been hacked (and I’m not even a BT customer!). He asked me to look at the lights on my router so he could "verify" it. He mentioned some sort of notification number you could supposedly use to check if the call was legit. When I asked for a number to ring him back on, he said it was in the handbook. Then, when I pressed him about who he was, he threw out a random 1800 number. Told him that wouldn’t work over here in the UK, and he just hung up. Watch out for this one!
