Some guy with a thick accent rang and actually asked for me by name! I cut him off quick and told him to remove my number from whatever list he had. He flat out said no and even threatened to keep calling me daily. I just ended the call. Seriously, who’s got the power to make them stop?

I reckon they’re just ringing to check if someone picks up, so they can then bombard you or flog your number around as 'active' to other annoying spammers. Best thing to do is just block them outright! What a pain they are!

Got a call from someone pretending to be MasterCard saying £600 was taken from my account in the last quarter of an hour and sent overseas. They told me to hit 1 to stop the transaction. Looks like one of those dodgy premium number scams and I’m sure you’d end up losing money if you did.
