He told them he already owned one, but they claimed his wouldn’t work for much longer and boasted theirs covered the whole country. At first, they said it was free, then suddenly started asking which bank he used. After chatting a bit about the device, they handed him over to another person who requested the sort code and mentioned a fee of £29 something if he used it.
