They rang up asking to talk to me, but I said I wasn’t available and offered to take a message. Then they wanted to know if I was related to the person they were after - I said no. It seemed really fishy, and they couldn’t even say my name properly! Definitely felt like a scam.

Someone called me claiming to be a virgin, then hung up as soon as I asked them to tell me my name. Number was 01257074232. Definitely a scam.

Got a bloke on the phone claiming to be from Virgin Media, said my internet'd be off in 12 hours. He started all nice, asking how I was and that. I told him to carry on, then said I’m not even with Virgin Media. He got proper narky, raised his voice saying he was just tryna help. He said he had all my info right there, but I just told him to find a real job instead of wasting time on this dodgy scam call. Then he just hung up on me.

Today I got a call from a man with an Asian accent who was going on about how some Americans had hacked into my computer. He wanted me to stay by my computer and do exactly what he said to protect me from these so-called hackers! He even said he’d check my Virgin licence number to prove he was legit! When I told him I’d rather ring Virgin myself to double-check, he got really annoyed.

Got a call from someone who said they were David from Virgin Media, sounded Asian. I reckon they wanted to steal my account info or passwords or something. I just ended the call straight away.

Number didn't show up on BT Call Guardian, so I'm guessing it's either a scammer or from a call centre. I've put the number straight on my block list.

This 01257954624 number rang me but when I answered with a hello, there was dead silence so I just ended the call. I’m pretty sure it’s a dodgy scam because last weekend I got another call from them leaving a voicemail saying my internet was hacked. Didn’t do anything about it as that sounded well fishy to me. Hopefully they ring again so I can tell them to jog on!

I got a call from someone claiming to be Jordan Black at BT tech support, sounded like he had an Asian accent. He said there was a serious issue with my internet because hackers in California were trying to break in. He offered to send me a new router and a fresh access code. I pretended to go along with it, then told him I knew it was a scam. He denied it and insisted he was only trying to help, adding that if scammers got in, my bank info could be at risk. I told him I’d report him and his number to BT and then I just hung up.

Got a call from an Asian guy who said my internet had a problem and that hackers were trying to break in. Yeah, right! He was the hacker himself! Told me to hit the Windows key and the R key together. Said he’d help me secure my computer. What a joke! Really he was trying to guide me into giving him access so he could steal all my passwords and clean out my bank. No way! He kept asking what was on my screen, but I told him I was just seeing my mum and dad because I was on Skype. Got fed up pretty quickly and just hung up. This scam’s been around forever. Don’t get caught out by it!

Got a robo call today, and right as I answered, the voice just said "Bye" then cut me off. Bit weird.

Looks like that IT Support scam is back in business. I got a ring from this number about an hour and a half after a call came through from 00231593992378. Another person mentioned a connection between the 0125 number and this 0023 prefix, so I'm pretty sure they're connected. The 0023 call left a vague voicemail too, with someone saying they were calling from California and that they found an issue with my PC.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT about my broadband. Bit odd since I'm actually with Virgin. Decided to humour them and see what their angle was, but then the call just ended abruptly. A minute after, the phone lit up again with no number showing, but then displayed 00231638185244. They asked me to press a few buttons, so I kept quiet and listened till the line went dead. Pretty sure it was connected to that first call, and honestly, it felt like a scam. Just be cautious, don’t let anyone gain access to your PC or internet. Thought I’d share to warn others.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying they needed me to open TeamViewer so they could fix my computer remotely. Obviously, it was a scam, and I wasn't having any of it. I kept pressing the bloke, and after a bit he admitted he was only doing it 'cos legit work is hard to find and he’s gotta provide for his family. Still, don’t let them trick you!

Got a call from some bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was from BT and that my internet was playing up. Thing is, I’m not even with BT and my internet was fine. Told him to get lost and stop wasting my time. He’s phoned a couple more times this week, mixing it up and saying different internet companies each time. Total scam if you ask me.
