Received a call purporting to be from my internet provider. When I inquired further, they claimed to be BT, which is entirely incorrect. They continued to chat for a brief moment before abruptly ending the call. What a bunch of charlatans! Definitely a scam operation.

This afternoon, I received two phone calls claiming there was an issue with our computer. I ended the conversation quite quickly, recognising it as a scam. To my dismay, the same caller rang back, using offensive language and insisting on speaking to the woman of the house. This sort of behaviour is rather distressing, especially for elderly folk like us.

Received a call at precisely 09:13, claiming to be from our internet service provider. They inquired about our experience with the service today. In response, I just put down the phone without uttering a word. Based on the accent, I’d wager it was a female voice, possibly Indian or Pakistani. There’s also that well-known delay when connecting these sorts of calls, which makes me think they’re operating from overseas and perhaps using call forwarding to mask their number. Typical of these dodgy scams, isn’t it?
