01257825090 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01257825090 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number frequently used by foreign call centres claiming to represent well-known UK mobile providers such as O2, EE, and even Curry’s. Callers often promise significant discounts on bills to lure victims but exhibit suspicious behaviour, including poor call quality and reluctance to confirm their identity. The number is commonly spoofed and linked to aggressive cold calls with no legitimate service offered. Users are strongly advised not to engage, provide personal details, or return calls. Instead, all suspicious contacts should be promptly reported via official police channels like Action Fraud to aid in combating these criminal operations. Blocking the number alone is insufficient, as scammers continuously rotate through fake or spoofed numbers.

Got a call from someone pretending to be my phone company, trying to offer me a bill discount. Total scam, don’t fall for it! Never share your info. Just hang up, block them and maybe even tell the police about it. Seriously dodgy stuff.

Someone rang me on this number but the connection was awful, so they tried again from another number. They said they worked for O2 and could save me 40% on my monthly charges. I told them I don’t take calls from people I don’t know, then ended the call. The woman had a strong African accent but was quite courteous.

Never picked up the call. It showed up as being from Chorley, England. Big thanks to all who shared their experiences here - they've helped me dodge loads of dodgy calls. I always stick to this rule: if I don’t recognise the number, I just let it ring. If it’s really important, they’ll leave a voicemail.

If you want to help tackle the flood of scam calls and messages, the police have actually made a system that makes reporting them straightforward for everyone. I only found out about it after raising my frustration with my MP over the number of scam calls I kept receiving. It’s clear scammers don’t want this info getting out there. But honestly, unless you report these dodgy attempts, nothing will change, so it’s worth doing.

So I got a call from someone saying they’re with 02, right? I just said, “No thanks, I’m not even with 02, so please take me off your list,” then hung up. Probably not the smartest reply ever, but honestly, it gave me a bit of satisfaction.

I'm with Three and they were ready to sort out my upgrade through Currys, even covering over £1600 on my phone bill. Delivery was supposed to come in just a couple days, but they did ask for some personal info first.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, checking if I was satisfied with their service. I told them I was fine, then they started talking about giving me a 30% discount on my plan. The lady had a strong foreign accent which made me suspicious. Plus the line was super quiet, so I just hung up. They tried ringing again about 10 minutes later but I ignored it. Pretty sure it was a spam call, best not to pick up!

Had a call from a weird number showing Chorley with either 090 or 042 at the end. The bloke on the line spoke with an Indian accent and claimed he was from O2. Turned out to be a total scam. Just hung up straightaway.

Got a couple of calls yesterday from someone saying they were ringing on behalf of Curry's PC World, trying to sell me a mobile with a 40% off deal. Seemed off to me, probably just a scam. Definitely wouldn't trust it.

I got a call from a number saying it was from O2, but it was actually some call centre in India trying to pull a fast one. Honestly, if they were close by, I'd be proper ready to give them a piece of my mind.

Got a call from some Indian call centre claiming to be my mobile network and said they could give me a discount on my bill. I just ended the call straight away since it's not even my provider and I use a work phone anyway.

They wouldn’t say where they were calling me from and wouldn’t answer any of my questions, which made me quite suspicious. So I just ended the call. I think the number was faked too.

I got a call saying there was suspicious activity on my debit card and they asked me to share all my banking info with them. Felt really sketchy to me.
