Yet another bothersome call from an Indian call centre has come through. Honestly, just cut the line-it's astonishing that anyone would resort to this as a job! They claimed to be representing HMRC! What a joke! I can't fathom how anyone could fall for such nonsense!

I got a call on my landline earlier, kept saying hello a few times but no reply, then the line just cut out.

This morning since about 8:30, I got 3 calls, all with some kind of music playing quietly behind. I couldn’t really catch what the bloke was saying. On another call, I kept saying hello but there was loads of noise in the background, so I ended up just hanging up. The last call I took, the guy only managed to say hello before he abruptly ended the call.

At first, there was only silence when I answered, so I said hello a few times. Then a guy with a hard-to-understand voice asked me to verify my name. He then went on about a refund of £12,600 because I'd supposedly had insurance since the year 2000. He asked how I wanted the money sent to me. When I said by cheque, he claimed the post was slow due to Covid. Then he started asking for my National Insurance number and dob, which felt a bit too much. I told him no way and ended the call.

So I got a call from someone saying my insurance policy lapsed because of Covid-19 stuff, but the weird part is the person on the policy has actually passed away. Bit confusing and honestly felt a bit dodgy to me.
