I received a phone call today from a bloke wanting to chat about my loft insulation, which completely baffled me at first. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and listened on. He claimed that I qualified for some shiny new loft insulation that the government would supposedly pay for. To cut to the chase, it’s all a ruse - the chap is definitely trying to pull a fast one.

I got a robo call saying my Amazon Prime subscription was expiring and that they’d take £39.99 from my bank if I didn’t do something. They told me to press 1 to speak with someone. The funny thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account, so it’s pretty clear this was a scam trying to trick me.
