I genuinely found myself baffled by what this gentleman from Asia was attempting to convey. It felt very much like I was receiving a call from one of those bustling Asian call centres.

Today, I got a phone call from someone claiming to be from an Asian call centre, using a local area code. They were offering to boost my broadband speed with Virgin at no extra charge. As soon as I told them I wasn’t interested, they just hung up straight away. Feels like a scam to me, like they expect me to hand over my details or something. This isn’t the first time either, it’s happened twice this week from the same area code but with different numbers.
